Before late 2010, I didn't even know the Nostalgia Critic existed. Everything changed when my brother sat me down to watch a particular video. And, like every other entertainment medium I consider myself a fan of, that was more than enough to rope me in and leave me wanting more. The very first NC review I ever watched, and the one that remains my favorite to this day, is his second review of the animated Titanic rip-off cartoon. So, as of today, I've been a fan of the Critic for close to two years. Like others who joined the fans around the same time as me, even later, I regret not knowing about this guy in 2007...So many missed events!

Through the Critic, I found ThatGuyWiththeGlasses.com, ToddintheShadows, Nostalgia Chick, Rap Critic, Linkara, and many others. I also started stumbling across reviewers on YouTube and found the FanFic Critic. In a sense, any reviewer I consider myself a fan of now was, in a sense, found through or inspired by the Critic. Of course, there's a huge variety of talent and styles out there; and I absolutely love it! There's even actually two people on YouTube I'd namedrop to TGWTG to check out if I had any sway. :XD: I'm not going to say who, though.

I'm an avid enough fan of TGWTG that I intend to tune in to his future show (and possibly even have the balls to try sending in an audition tape when he announces casting calls). I'll miss the Critic like everybody else, too, but good luck to Doug in his future prospects! To Boldly Flee was quite a surprise visually, storywise, and through cinemotography. Perhaps Hollywood might come knocking...? :)

Aw man...I'm still sad that he's not going to make any more new stuff. Oh well, he had an AMAZING run. I just wish he'd reviewed Rock n' Rule first...
