Before late 2010, I didn't even know the Nostalgia Critic existed. Everything changed when my brother sat me down to watch a particular video. And, like every other entertainment medium I consider myself a fan of, that was more than enough to rope me in and leave me wanting more. The very first NC review I ever watched, and the one that remains my favorite to this day, is his second review of the animated Titanic rip-off cartoon. So, as of today, I've been a fan of the Critic for close to two years. Like others who joined the fans around the same time as me, even later, I regret not knowing about this guy in 2007...So many missed events!
Through the Critic, I found ThatGuyWiththeGlasses.com, ToddintheShadows, Nostalgia Chick, Rap Critic, Linkara, and many others. I also started stumbling across reviewers on YouTube and found the FanFic Critic. In a sense, any reviewer I consider myself a fan of now was, in a sense, found through or inspired by the Critic. Of course, there's a huge variety of talent and styles out there; and I absolutely love it! There's even actually two people on YouTube I'd namedrop to TGWTG to check out if I had any sway. I'm not going to say who, though.
I'm an avid enough fan of TGWTG that I intend to tune in to his future show (and possibly even have the balls to try sending in an audition tape when he announces casting calls). I'll miss the Critic like everybody else, too, but good luck to Doug in his future prospects! To Boldly Flee was quite a surprise visually, storywise, and through cinemotography. Perhaps Hollywood might come knocking...?

Commissions Re-Opened
For anyone interested, I'm re-opening commissions. The biggest change is that I'm setting up a slots system vs just always open. When slots are filled, I'll put updates on this particular post. Collage commissions have been added! 3 SLOTS OPEN OPEN OPEN OPEN Recent Commissions: INFO Payment can be upfront or split into half upfront and half upon completion. It's also PayPal only for now. Collage Commissions Collage commissions are a $10 USD flat rate. I will draw 3-4 sketches of the characters or couples of your choice on scrapbooking paper and arrange them in a fun collage. The cutouts can be specific characters interacting or specific scenes. They can be from different shows, franchises, or even OCs, too. The only real bar I have is that I'd prefer everything have a related theme like "romance" or "friendship" so the end result is coherent. Examples: Full Body Illustration in Pencil or Colored Pencils I'll make a full-body illustration of up to 2 characters of your
Professor Venomous, the Hot Mess in a Lab Coat
Note: I've started writing rambly character analyses again! I don't plan on posting everything here, but I'm definitely sharing the ones I'm proudest of here between art stuff. POINT's origin in show starts when Silver Spark, El Bow, and Rippy Roo officially join the main team as junior members. Laserblast and Silver Spark immediately take a liking to each other and Laserblast comes up with convenient excuses for alone time with Silver. From what little there is of them on-screen, Silver is absolutely infatuated with Laser, partly because of his flashy attitude, his years of experience, the air of mystery around him, and definitely the confidence. These two were in the early, honeymoon phase of their relationship. El Bow's graphic daydream involving the weird sucker French kiss sequence tells the whole story: If these two weren't working, they were doing other things. Very often and very enthusiastically. Besides tonsil hockey with Silver, Laserblast has a series of
Closing Art Commissions Indefinitely
As of today, I'm closing art commissions indefinitely. I'm not sure if I'll open them again, but I don't want to say its permanent. I'm leaving my Patreon up and will continue to add new content and hopefully, more substantial additions over the course of the year. Otherwise, I plan to continue posting fanart, original art, etc. If something grabs my attention like O.K. K.O. has recently, it'll get added to what stuff I regularly draw. I'm also planning to get new pages out for my comics next month.
Blurbs About my Prominent OCs and Fan Characters
My El Tigre Fan Characters Serenity/Electron Serenity was one of my first real fan characters. Her name was inspired by the DiC Sailor Moon dub. She started out as an idealized self-insert in high school but the way I imagine her is so different from what I'm actually like, she became her own character. She's an outspoken math nerd and a savvy inventor. She's confident, shameless about her niche interests, but can be really oblivious and develop bad cases of tunnel vision with bigger projects she's excited about. Serenity invented a belt modeled after El Tigre's iconic item that gives her electric and flying powers. She's Dr. Chipotle Jr.'s sidekick/apprentice Sigma until she switches sides and joins the superhero trio Team Lightning as Electron. After switching sides, she's still an enthusiastic fan of Diego's work and they remain friends (he's the best man at her wedding later in life). Other: Serenity is a demisexual hetero ciswoman. She's not actively interested in romance

Aw man...I'm still sad that he's not going to make any more new stuff. Oh well, he had an AMAZING run. I just wish he'd reviewed Rock n' Rule first...
